Toby Foster, who is best known for playing Les, one half of double-act Les Alanos in Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights has joined the cast of a comedy pilot by Liam Tulley.

The comedian and actor, who has also starred in shows such as Derek and After Life, both written and directed by Ricky Gervais will play the manager of the bail hostel where Liam Tulley's character is residing.

Filming of the as-yet-untitled show, which centres around the life of a recovering drug addict as he attempts to get his life back on track after leaving prison is underway, and details on when the show will be published are to be released at a later date.
