PAYBACKERS FILM CONFIRMED
Liam Tulley has revealed a spin-off film of the web series Paybackers is in development
Paybackers was originally a web series about a group of people thrown together on the Community Payback Scheme. A film version based on the series is now being planned, writer Liam Tulley has confirmed.
Speaking to comedy.co.uk the writer confirmed he is working on taking the idea of the story and turning that into a film script. He said: “The plan was to do a full series but the BBC are making something similar so that's been scrapped. There's been talk of a doing a film for a while now, but I wanted to see how the web series went first before I made a decision on it.”
Full details about the film have not been released, but it will focus more on the backstory of original characters Goober and Shrimpy, as well as following their antics during their time on Community Payback. He added: “It’s based on the original idea, but it will be a little bit different to the web series.”
Liam is again writing the script, and will also direct and co-produce the feature length film.
